Student, Sister, Friend, Writer, Athlete, Techie, Artist, Leader...These are all words we have heard students from foster care use to describe themselves. While the experience of foster care is an important piece of identity, we want to know more about the diverse identities of our students from foster care in Michigan.

Fostering Success Michigan is creating a video focused on diverse identities of youth from foster care and we need your help! Are you a student from foster care? Do you know a student from foster care who would be willing to share who they are? If you are 18 years of age of younger you can submit a photo but it cannot show your face. If you are a student or youth from care, simply email FSM a picture of yourself holding up a sign (like the examples below from Courtney and Brittney) saying “I am… (fill in the blank)” to fostering-info@wmich.edu . Please include your t-shirt size and mailing address in the email, so we can send you our NEW FSM t-shirt!

If you have questions about this project, please feel free to contact Sarah Graff at sarah.m.graff@wmich.edu.
