National Postsecondary Support Map

The National Postsecondary Support Map provides links and information on state tuition waivers, statewide education support programs, and 4 year campus-based support programs for students who experience foster care. This information has been gathered through research done by Western Michigan University Center for Fostering Success students and staff and in partnership with our champions for education for students from foster care across the country.

States shaded in blue indicate a state with a statewide education support program and/or state tuition waivers for students who experience foster care.

You can help us continue to populate this map! Email us at FSM@thenewfostercare.org to share the postsecondary support resources in your state.

We will seek to add 2 year campus-based support programs in the future.

The National Postsecondary Support Map is made possible in collaboration with Casey Family Programs, whose mission is to provide, improve - and ultimately prevent the need for - foster care. The findings presented in this map are those of Fostering Success Michigan alone, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Casey Family Programs.
