Michigan College Access Portal - Academic Preparedness

Michigan College Access Portal Makes the Transition from High School Easier.

The Michigan College Access Portal (MichiganCAP) is a statewide initiative supported by the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN), which provides free support for all students and families in Michigan to simplify the process of transitioning from high school to college and career.

MichiganCAP offers students, parents, counselors and adult learners, easy-to-use Web-based, personalized tools to insure that each step in the process of choosing and applying for college is completed successfully.

There are many benefits of utilizing the Michigan College Access Portal for both students and parents as they begin the process of applying for college.

For Students:
• Organize academic information, test scores, activities and personal information
• Free test-preparation tutorials
• Research colleges
• Track college applications
• Research and apply for financial aid
• Plan for your career

For Parents:
• Access and track student progress
• Access financial aid resources
• Research local and national scholarships
• Estimate the cost to attend college
