United Way

The Michigan Association of United Ways (MAUW), formerly the United Way of Michigan, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, founded in 1947 by a group of community and labor leaders to simplify the gathering and distribution of funds that were received through charitable giving. 

Approximately 60 local United Ways who represent the largest network of non-governmental service providers and service funders in Michigan, collectively raising and distributing over $160 million dollars to support local health and human service organizations.
