EMK Press publishes books for families whose lives have been touched by adoption (domestic or international) or the foster care system. This includes individuals who have adopted children, are fostering or working with foster children, are parenting relatives' children in a kinship placement, are adoptees, or are former foster youth. Book topics range from parenting techniques for adoptive or foster parents, to self-expression and self-worth for youth within the foster care system or who have been adopted. EMK's mission is to be an education source for anyone involved with adoption, kinship or fostering. Many parent resources can be downloaded for free on the website. EMK is a small press with a distinct voice that is shaped by the authentic writings of its experienced contributors. Believing that information has power when it is shared, EMK strives to make information available to those who need it.
