"Last night, President Obama signed H.R. 4980, the Preventing Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act. This bill was held up in the Senate, but because of your advocacy on September 18th, Congress passed the bill with no holds, no objections, and no delays. This bill has many provisions that will impact the lives of foster youth, including providing youth with a list of their rights, providing foster parents with more flexibility in making decisions about activities foster youth can participate in, reducing the length of stay for youth in foster care, and involving foster youth in their case plans.
