College Financial Aid Resources for Former Foster Youth
This resource provides information about potential financial aid opportunities for post secondary education.
If so, you might be interested to know that the John H. Chafee Foster Care Independence Program helps current and former foster care youth through the Educational and Training Vouchers (ETV) Program.
By clicking on the links below (choose either English or Spanish) you will find out what ETV is, if you are eligible, how much funding you can get, how you can apply for ETV, and additional assistance that may be available to you.
In Michigan, be sure to check out Samaritas, as they coordinate all ETV funds for the State of Michigan.
Fostering Success Michigan is a program of Educate Tomorrow that aims to increase access and success in higher education and post-college careers for youth with experience in foster care. Learn how you can contribute to building a holistic network that insulates (i.e., strengthens protective factors and reduces risks) the education to career "pipeline."
