Obamacare under the radar: former foster youth can get free health insurance until age 26

Sarah Alvarez explores an under-publicized area of the Affordable Care Act - that youth from foster care are covered with free health insurance until the age 26.

Featuring 2 students from foster care, Brittney Grant, a current Seita Scholar at WMU, and Kamille Tynes, a former UM Blavin Scholar, this story highlights the successes and challenges our young adults from foster care have faced in enrolling in extended Medicaid in Michigan.
