Educators and educational staff go above and beyond daily to ensure the well-being and learning of their students. That is why FSM has partnered with Von Washington Jr., noted educational leader and Executive Director, Community Relations for the Kalamazoo Promise, to create resources to assist educators and educcational staff in their every day work. This webinar will introduce two helpful resources. FSM's guide, "Getting to Know Child Welfare for Educators" provides a foundation of knowledge about the child welfare system, including common terminology and tips on how to create your own support network. The FSM Child Welfare for Educators Toolkit centralizes a number of available resources, while providing concrete examples of how educators and staff can support students in the classroom and educational environment. You'll leave this webinar with a clear understanding of how to better support your students with experience in foster care.
