At Western Michigan University, the Center for Fostering Success adapted the Casey framework so that education is the central focus of support offered to students, with stability in other life domains integrally tied to the understanding of what alumni of foster care need to thrive and succeed in college (Unrau, 2012). This webinar will focus on the community connections and supportive relationships domain and related resources.

Our guest this month will be Shenandoah Chefalo, author and foster care alumnus. Her memoir, Garbage Bag Suitcase is the true story of Shenandoah's journey through childhood and adolescence into adulthood as she experiences foster care.
