Mid Michigan College is a Fostering Success Michigan Designated Campus Champion (FSM DCC) and has staff on campus who are able to support students with experience in foster care by connecting them to resources on campus and within the community!

Mid Michigan's student services team works closely to support students and can connect them in a timely manner to provide assistance when needed. Mid Michigan offers a Single Point of Contact model that assigns each student a Mentor who works with the student from the point of application all the way through to graduation. They prioritize relationship building and leverage those relationships to intervene when/if students experience difficulty. Mid Michigan also offers transfer degrees that can help students prepare for a 4-year institution. If students are interested in staying in the Mount Pleasant area, they can start at Mid Michigan and complete their 4-year degree at CMU without having to change location.
