Kutztown University PROFS Program

PROFS is a support program for students who are current or former members of the foster care system.  It provides college access programs, such as college prep and financial knowledge workshops, for high school students and connects Kutztown University students to campus resources that will help them succeed.  Services include financial literacy workshops, one-on-one weekly meetings with a success coach, and a $500 scholarship award at the end of the fall and spring semesters.  Guaranteed year-round housing (free during winter and summer break), study abroad opportunities, and access to emergency funds are also available.  Eligible Chafee Grant recipients can receive an additional $3,000 scholarship per year beginning Fall 2020.
