Kalamazoo Valley Community College - Life Resources

The program is also partnering with the Seita Scholars program at Western Michigan University to provide mentoring and peer to peer guidance. The program is connected to key campus champions in a variety of offices across campus that are committed to supporting students from foster care by providing opportunities and resources.  The program provides coaching services, as well as, support around non-academic needs such as housing, transportation and healthcare. 

Program eligibility/affiliation criteria:
• Applying by January is encouraged, but not mandatory.
• All students must be registered prior to the first week of classes.

Kalamazoo Valley Community College is a two-year community college in southwest Michigan that offers degrees and certificates in scores of academic programs, occupations and trades. Popular transfer programs include Business Administration, Social Work, Engineering, Education, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy. Notable go to work programs include Art and New Media, Wind Turbine Technician Academy, Nursing, and Dental Hygiene. There are many off-campus housing options nearby.
