The Faith Communities Coalition on Foster Care, or FCC, seeks to connect congregations of all faiths with the 13,000 Michigan children and youth in foster care. The FCC holds gatherings in ten different regions so that representatives from congregations can hear and meet foster youth, foster/adoptive parents, and representatives from local child welfare agencies. The goal is to raise awareness and invite involvement of each congregation to find that one thing to make a positive difference in the life of a child.
Fostering Success Michigan is a program of Educate Tomorrow that aims to increase access and success in higher education and post-college careers for youth with experience in foster care. Learn how you can contribute to building a holistic network that insulates (i.e., strengthens protective factors and reduces risks) the education to career "pipeline."
