Community College of Philadelphia – Fostering Caring Connections

Fostering Caring Connections is a program that connects students with experience in the foster care system with needed resources, including Campus Food Pantry, Emergency Funds Scholarship, Shelter resources, On-campus support services on campus (i.e., advising, counseling, tutoring and more). In order to qualify for the Fostering Caring Connections program, you must be currently enrolled at Community College of Philadelphia as a student between the ages of 16 and 24. You also must identify with one of the following statements that you:
• Have had experience in the foster care system
• Are currently contending with homelessness
• Are an unaccompanied youth (without a caretaker, living in a temporary setting outside or elsewhere)
• Lived in a group home shelter or group care setting
• Lived in an independent living program through a social work agency
• Another, but similar, situation
