Sexual Education

There's no such thing as 100 percent safe sex, but there are ways to make sex safer - safer from infections, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and unplanned pregnancy.

The Women's and Children's Health Network has put together information for teens age 12-17 and safer sex. Topics include:

  • What is safer sex?
  • Being ready for sex
  • Safer sex activities
  • If safer sex does not happen
  • Negotiating safer sex
  • Common excuses for not practicing safer sex
  • Too much to drink or carried away?
  • Other resources
