Places to Meet People in College

In college, you have many opportunities. Aside from academic and career related opportunities, you have many ways to meet new people and to be social. 

Here are some places to meet people in college:

  • Campus groups or clubs; sororities and fraternities
  • School or campus events
  • Sports - intramural or club teams AND sporting events
  • Group projects in class - you can learn more about your classmates and share common interests, including academic programs
  • In between classes - take a few minutes to say "hi" and get to know students in your classes
  • Volunteering - there are LOTS of volunteer opportunities through campus and in the community
  • Mentoring
  • Employment
